My Superman

Why God Made Little Boys
Author: Unknown

God made the world out of His dreams
Of magic mountains, oceans and streams,
Prairies and plans and wooded land,
Then paused and thought "I need someone to stand
On top of mountains, to conquer the seas,
Explore the plains and climb the trees.
Someone to start out small and to grow,
Sturdy, strong as a tree…" And so,
He created boys, full of spirit and fun,
To explore and conquer, to romp and run.
With dirty faces and banged up chins,
With courageous hearts and boyish grins.
When He had completed the task He'd begun
He surely said "A job well done".

I love my little Superman!

I have never been one much for character clothes. One summer that I was a nanny, I even promised (to myself) to not buy character clothing when I had children. Hah, hah! I truly do humor myself looking back at all my pre-child opinions.
Emmaline had her first pair of Disney Princess pajamas when she was three. The look on her face when she saw them was priceless. It would have been the way I reacted to someone giving me a million dollars. She lived in them and night could not come fast enough for her to be back in them. The search was on for character pjs. Soon Dora, Tinkerbell and Aria joined the collection.
Sometimes I think the second child gets a good deal. Emmaline had already broken me in to this so Davis got his first pair of character pjs at 2! He LOVES his Superman pajamas and I love watching him run around the house after bath in his jammies with cape. Now, I laugh when I think back to my "adamant" views. Writing about all this makes me want to go find a cute pair of Diego pajamas for him.
