A couple months ago, we stopped off at the Varsity in Atlanta on our way home from Alabama. I have driven past the Varsity at least over 50 times (maybe 100) but have never stopped to see what it was all about.
It was huge and is the largest drive-in fast food restaurant in the world! You definitely go for the experience. When you are in line the cashiers start yelling at you, "What'll ya have, what'll ya have... If any of you have gone out to eat with me you know it takes me FOREVER to order. However, this time I was prepared since I had watched a Food Network show on the Varsity. No veggies or fruit here!
This is a very common reaction that Davis gives us every night at dinner. Being such a purest about food, he was grossed out by the white bun sticking to the hot dog.
