35 days on the market and 27 showings later, we accepted a great offer on our house. The last two months have been a whirlwind but a huge blessing. Our closing date is May 15th. Now comes all the packing.
We are spending the summer in some great apartments that are located close to our house. I am looking forward to having a calm summer and hanging out with the kids. The complex we are moving to has two pools, a fishing pond, walking trails and playground. It will be so nice to simplify our lives after living in a "show" house and packing everything up.
Selling this home has been so emotional for me. So, bittersweet. I remember when I was unpacking the dishes and loading them into the cabinets for the first time, I was 33 weeks pregnant with Emmaline. My big baby belly kept getting in the way. This weekend I packed up the kitchen while Emm and Davis were playing in the other room. 1833 holds so many memories. Memories were I became a mom and brought my babies home. Memories of Reid and me. Memories of growing closer to my God. So many good memories.
We are going to miss you 1833!
Kristin, I love your blog! The background is so cute. :) This will be a great way to keep in touch when we move away from each other. I always feel like I know what is going on with Michele even though she is around the world in Japan and with Alyson in Texas. So glad you are doing it! Love ya!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on selling your home - it went quickly! I know how annoying having a home ready to show at any time is! I didn't know you were moving...what is in store for you all?
ReplyDeleteLove,
Hilary
