Sweet Apple Elementary Family Dance

Here are some pictures from the dance - I think a better name would be aerobics.  It was a fun night!  The kids were almost asleep after our three minute drive home.

Hiking at Lake Lanier

New Year's Eve we headed up to Lake Lanier and went hiking for the afternoon.  We just might have to call it a traditions since it is our second New Year's Eve hike.  The temperature was much more pleasant this year than last years - 20 degrees.
Watching some fly fishing

For the beauty of the earth, for the beauty of the skies,
For the love which from our birth over and around us lies,
Lord of all, to You we raise, this our grateful hymn of praise.

Pajama Day at Davis' school - note the rain boots!
His class built and painted this nutcracker which he was very proud of.
Yes, I know it is cheesy but Emmaline and I got coordinating aprons.  Too bad you cannot see the ruffle and pom-poms on the bottom.:)
Happy Birthday Jesus Cake which the kids made and decorated themselves.
Decemeber 23 we opened gifts at our home before we got on the road for Alabama.  They were jumping they were so stoked.  Thank you Kelley's and Kinsey's for all the gifts!

Time to give thanks!

This year we spent Thanksgiving with my family in Alabama. My dear friend, Wendy and her daughter, Lauraline, drove up from Montgomery to celebrate with us. Of course, our kiddos loved having Lauraline here to play with too. Here are some "happenings" from our fun day.

The kids spent the morning repelling up and down the hill.
Then, they came in a had a turkey hunt. This was hilarious! Reid explained the rules then, hid the turkey in the house. They loved hunting for the turkey.
Find that turkey...
Wendy and I were in the kitchen with mom, cooking away.
Around the table, giving thanks.
Oh, I could just eat him up! My sweet little man at the Thanksgiving meal.
